Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon

Dr. Dmochowski is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with affiliations at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center and Sentara-Obici hospitals. His clinical expertise encompasses all areas of the upper extremity, including the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in both adults and children.
Trained in arthroscopy, minimally-invasive surgical approaches and microvascular surgery, Dr. Dmochowski has a special interest in sports injuries peripheral nerve surgery, arthritis surgery, and shoulder replacements. Dr. Dmochowski earned both his BS and MD degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before completing his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at WellStar Atlanta Medical Center, where he helped care for local high school football teams, the Georgia Tech baseball team, and the Atlanta Braves. He also was a guest lecturer for Georgia State University and was involved in multiple research projects leading to publication.
Following residency, Dr. Dmochowski completed his fellowship training in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center, one of the most prestigious programs in the country.
Dr. Dmochowski and his wife Betsy, a physical therapist, have two young daughters and two dogs. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, running, and playing basketball, tennis and other sports. He is fluent in English and Polish.
