Dr. Fox is an expert in minimally invasive spine surgery techniques, having performed thousands of spinal surgeries and taught several types of highly effective and innovative spine surgery procedures.
Most recently, Dr Fox was instrumental in development of the “Back & Neck Center” at Obici Hospital, the first of its kind in the Tidewater area. He now serves as the Center’s Medical Director. Dr. Fox served as the Chief of Orthopaedic Spine Surgery, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA. As a Navy surgeon, he established a multidisciplinary spine center that has become the model for spinal care throughout the US Military.
Dr. Fox joined Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center to establish an adult spinal surgery arm of the practice at Obici Hospital. He offers a wealth of experience in traditional as well as cutting edge spine surgery techniques, and his expertise in surgical and non-surgical management of spinal conditions make him a valuable resource for SMOC patients.
