Christopher J. Guinand, PA-C

“I enjoy that I can physically see and then fix a problem. It’s enjoyable to see patients that were not able to walk, to improving back to full activity.”

Christopher, was born in Oakland, CA but spent most of his life growing up in Virginia Beach, VA. He earned his graduate degree at Old Dominion University and received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences. His hobbies include, playing video games, spending time with family and friends, physical fitness, outdoor activities, playing drums and being with his dog Yennefer. A fun fact about Christopher when winking he can only wink his right eye.

He became a physician assistant because he enjoys working with patients and hearing about their stories and experiences. Patients say Christopher is very genuine, kind, a good listener and thorough. His clinical experience before physician assistant school came from being a physical therapy technician so that is where he developed an interest in orthopedics/physical medicine.

SMOC, has a wide variety of providers from different backgrounds, skill sets, and their combined experience makes for an environment where he can collaborate to improve patient care.
