Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

neck painThe ability to manage chronic pain is a specialty that has “blossomed,” and our team offers specialized training in epidural injection techniques, and expertise in medical acupuncture and electro diagnostic testing. Our hope is that someday surgery may no longer be necessary– but until then SMOC physicians will continue to offer whatever treatments and orthopaedic services necessary to keep you active and healthy at any age.

Our rehabilitation physicians design a personalized treatment plan that can be carried out by a patient either on their own or in conjunction with a specialized team of medical professionals. The rehabilitation team can consist of neurologists, psychiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, urologists, as well as non-physician health professionals in the areas of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, vocational counselors, psychologists and social workers.
