Beth M. Winke, MD

Certified Physiatrist Certified in Acupuncture
As a physiatrist who is board-certified in physical medicine and
rehabilitation, Dr. Winke adds an important dimension to the care
provided at the Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center. Dr. Winke
earned her medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
After residency training in orthopaedic surgery, she continued her
postgraduate training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at
Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine, where she was named
Chief Resident.
Dr.
Winke has been the Medical Director of Pain Management Services
at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA since joining the center.
Prior to that, she worked as a family practice, emergency care,
and rehabilitation physician. Dr. Winke is an accomplished writer
and presenter on the subjects of pain management and clinical orthopaedics.
She performs electrodiagnostic testing as part of her office practice
and is now offering acupuncture treatment. She has specialized training
in epidural injection techniques and directs our Spine Care Center.
