Led by a physical medicine & rehabilitation specialist, the
physical therapy & spine care team offers a unique, nonsurgical
approach to minimizing back pain and restoring function.
Following diagnosis—which may involve the use of state-of-the-art
Electrodiagnostics, EMGs, Nerve Conduction studies, and Bone Densitometry
—many patients will be prescribed an individualized program
of strengthening exercises that utilize our highly specialized,
computerized equipment. Patients with back muscle deconditioning
due to such conditions as herniated disc, degenerative disc disease,
lumbar strain, and laminectomy are excellent candidates.
The team also specializes in relieving back pain through epidural
steroid injections and alternative medicine (acupuncture), and will
gladly assist in worker’s compensation physician case management.
