Michael M. Romash, MD

Since retiring from the military in 1988, Dr. Romash has been providing orthopaedic care to Chesapeake area residents at the Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center. Dr. Romash is a respected orthopaedic surgeon and is widely recognized for his expertise in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Romash began his medical career in the military. After graduating from United States Military Academy at West Point and serving as a Field Artillery Officer in Germany, he returned stateside to earn his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Romash rose through the military ranks to Colonel in the Medical Corps and Assistant Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii. A prolific author with dozens of articles published in peer reviewed medical journals, Dr. Romash is also a frequent presenter at professional association meetings and teaching hospitals.
