Dr. Tracey Pennington is a board certified physiatrist, i.e. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician. Dr. Pennington attended Tulane University School of Medicine where she obtained her medical degree. Dr. Pennington also attended Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine where she obtained a Master's Degree in Public Health. Dr. Pennington moved on to attend an integrated internship and residency program at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Pennington's internship training consisted of an integrated medical and surgical training program with subsequent residency training in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Tracey Pennington has worked in various clinical settings since her completion of internship and residency training program. She has practiced as an attending physician in San Rafael, California as well as in Sherman, Texas. Dr. Pennington has also practiced as a locum tenens physician in Modesto, California, Vacaville, California and Charleston, West Virginia.

Dr. Tracey Pennington, as a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician or physiatrist, deals with diagnosing, evaluating and treating patients with impairment and/or disabilities which involve musculoskeletal, neurologic, cardiovascular, or other body systems. Dr. Pennington's focus is on specialized medical care and prevention of unnecessary medical and psychosocial complications and on maximal restoration of physical, psychological, social and vocational function and on the alleviation of pain. For diagnoses and evaluation a physiatrist may include the use of electrodiagnostic testing as supplement to the standard history, physical, x-ray and laboratory examination.
