Richard T. Holden, MD
Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon Specializing in Orthopaedic
Trauma, Athroscopic Surgery, and Sports Medicine
Dr. Holden has been a member of the Tidewater medical community
since 1975 when he started his internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
He eventually became Assistant Director of Orthopaedic Trauma and
Director of Arthroscopic Surgery at Portsmouth Naval Hospital prior
to leaving the military service in October of 1983 and entering
private practice in Chesapeake, VA. His practice has grown into
the largest orthopaedic group solely dedicated to the care of patients
in Chesapeake. Dr. Holden has been involved in general orthopaedics
over the years and has dealt with trauma, arthroscopy, and artificial
joints. Over the last 10 years, Dr. Holden has become an expert
in managing injuries in industrial medicine and in the independent
medical evaluation field.
